Mjallby AIF's Elliot Stroud, 23, is hot on the transfer market after several strong seasons with the club. The Italian club Genoa has placed a bid of 27 million SEK for the left wing-back. This season, Stroud has scored two goals and provided one assist in eight appearances in Allsvenskan, as well as four goals and one assist in six matches in the Svenska Cupen. It's clear that his performances have caught the attention of bigger clubs. According to transfer journalist Nicolò Schira, Genoa is offering 2.5 million euros for Stroud, which corresponds to the mentioned amount. Mjallby now faces an important decision, as Stroud's contract expires after this season. Hasse Larsson, the sporting director of Mjallby, has previously stated that they are open to keeping Stroud for the entire season, unless a sufficiently interesting offer comes in. It remains to be seen how Mjallby will handle this bid and whether Stroud is interested in a move to Serie A. Previously, clubs like Pisa and Sparta Prague have also shown interest in the talented player.
